Registration Fees
All Registration fees are in US Dollars (USD). To determine if you qualify for reduced registration rates, please consult Society for Conservation Biology Developing Country List.
This Symposium is expected to sell out. Book early to ensure your seat at Reef Futures 2018!
Registration Fee Includes
- Access to plenary sessions, concurrent sessions, and workshops.
- Breakfast, lunch, and coffee/tea on primary meeting days: Tuesday (12/11), Wednesday (12/12), and Thursday (12/13).
- Receptions, site visits, and special events will be contingent on sponsorship.
- Light hors d'oeuvres likely to be served after daily meetings conclude at least two of the three primary meeting days.
- A $15 charge to offset your carbon footprint at this event! Proceeds will be awarded to a local organization at the Closing Ceremony whose work is demonstrably contributing to carbon sequestration and offset through habitat restoration.

- June 18: Call for abstracts
- June 18: Early bird registration open
- July 31: Deadline for abstract submission and scholarship applications
- September 1: Applicants notified about abstract submissions & scholarships
- September 30: Last day to book hotel at Ocean Reef Club with guaranteed group discount rate
- October 1: General registration open
- November 1: Registration closed
Early Bird Registration
Early Bird Registration will begin June 18, 2018 and continue until September 30, 2018. By this date, all oral presentation and poster abstracts will have been chosen, and particpants will have been notified.
Sponsorship Details
- Scholarship package includes registration fee and hotel accommodations (double occupancy).
- Eligible attendees include students and participants from non-profit and academia organizations from developing nations.
- Preference will be given to developing nations and hardship cases.
- Scholarships will be given based on need and participant role at the Symposium.
- Participants with means to cover their own cost or have other sources of funding are encouraged to do so as every effort is being made to develop a robust list of attendees.
- Applicants must submit an abstract and be prepared to present at the Symposium.
Hardship Cases
If you are interested in attending but have a financial hardship, you might qualify for a discounted registration rate. To express interest, please email coral.restoration@noaa.gov. Your email should detail why you are requesting a special rate to attend Reef Futures 2018.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and change requests must be received in writing via email to coral.restoration@noaa.gov. A processing fee of $50 will be charged for cancellations received on or before 1 November 2018. Refund requests will not be accepted after this date. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. Allow up to four weeks for refunds to be processed. People with special circumstances should email detailing why they cannot make it to the Symposium. Not all requests will be granted. Substitutions for attendees need to be reviewed by the planning committee. If you have a substitution, please email for more details.
